Foods that make your Joints HAPPY :)

Do you have achy joints? Arthritis? Maybe you just have the occasional dull pain from time to time.  There are some natural ways to help us feel better without reaching for a bottle of pain medicine.  Please always refer to your doctor for medical conditions and advice before changing anything in your diet or routine

For normal aches and pains, let me share with you some wonderful foods that have helped my family and friends with aches and pains.  Turmeric, Garlic, Ginger, and Cinnamon are all foods that have been known to be anti inflammatories.  So when you eat them, they help dull or take away aches and pains.

I have a friend who has arthritis in her hands and each week or two she will slice a nickle sized piece of raw turmeric and eat it whole!  Now Turmeric is a bitter root (I tried this myself!) so I would caution you before you try this method.  But for her, it takes away that joint pain quickly and lasts for a long time.  As you can see, it's a powerful little root with healing properties.  So do some research of your own and see what might work for you or your family.

Turmeric can be ground up, minced such as in a garlic clove, or made into powder. You can cook it, saute it, or even eat it raw such as on salads, pastas, on pizza or any way you find enjoyable.

Garlic, Ginger and Cinnamon can be eaten the same way as turmeric.  Try to think outside the normal preparations of food and find interesting and enjoyable ways to eat your powerful roots!  Your joints will thank you...
